The Bleeding Edge

Screening and Bayer Rally

ASHES nonprofit is hosting a screening of the Netflix original documentary The Bleeding Edge on Tuesday, July 17, 2018. This will be an outdoor event at 1000 Bayer Blvd., Whippany NJ, 07981. We will be set up in front of Bayer’s corporate headquarters on a grassy area of public lawn. Permission from the town and permits have been secured.  We will have a truck with three huge LCD screens and seating in front of each screen. We will be airing the film twice, once at 3:30 and again at 5:30. Feel free to bring your own chairs, a blanket, and snacks if you’d like. We will be arriving in the morning to set up and advertise the screenings, we will also be raising awareness about the film, and the dangers of different medical devices, including but not limited to, Essure. The film is set to hit Netflix July 27th, 2018.

This extraordinary documentary focuses on the darker side of the $400 billion dollar medical device industry, examining lax regulations, corporate cover-ups, and profit driven incentives that put patients at risk daily. Weaving emotionally powerful stories of people whose lives have been irrevocably harmed, the film asks: what life-saving technologies may actually be killing us? Patients harmed by medical devices will be available to share their heart-wrenching stories and answer questions.  This powerful expose is brought to you by Academy Award nominated filmmakers, Kirby Dick and Amy Ziering (The Invisible War and The Hunting Ground) and is not to be missed.

We would like to invite all patients, physicians, medical professional, congressmen and women, and media to attend. Members of ASHES nonprofit, Essure Problems, and other advocacy groups will be available for interviews throughout the day and after the screenings.
